Most bungalows on the Causeway Coast are pebbledash — paint consumption is 30–40% higher than smooth render. Properties within 1 mile of the coast should include a stabilising wash and salt-resistant primer (+£80–150 on materials).
Most two-storey properties can be completed using a ladder or small access tower. Scaffolding is only required in certain circumstances (such as difficult access, steep ground, high gables or areas that cannot be reached safely). Where professionally erected scaffolding is required it is charged at cost +10% and always itemised separately. Typical scaffold hire is £800–£1,800 per week.
